JAMMU, Sept 17: Ramban Police today foiled a bid to smuggle bovine animals and arrested one person during naka near Shan Palace.
Police spokesman said that on the basis of specific information, a police party from Ramban Police Station laid a naka near Shan Palace and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK02AN/2995 loaded with five bovine animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir valley.
The vehicle was immediately seized and truck driver namely Abdul Rashid, son of Ghulam Nabi of Kanga, Ramban arrested.
