Bishnah people highlight issues

BISHNAH, Dec 7: A meeting of prominent leaders of the Bishnah constituency was held, here today, under the chairmanship of Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Incharge Youth Wing, Dogra Sadar Sabha, J&K, for highlighting the local issues.
Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and president Dogra Sadar Sabha, J&K, was chief guest in the meeting, which was also attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs, Numberdars, Chowkidars and other prominent persons of the area.
Speakers on the occasion, laid stress for the immediate solution of the burning problems due to the mismanagement in providing irrigation water, defected transformers and mis-management of the electricity department, no more accommodation in all the educational institutions, including Degree College Bishnah, deteriorating condition in health centres and surcharged atmosphere due to the firing from across the border.
Gulchain Singh Charak, speaking on the occasion warned the authorities of dire consequences if the problems, highlighted in the meeting, were not solved. He also urged upon the Government to constitute a team of special officers for the assessment of loss of the farmers and other people due to the Pak firing and to take necessary measures for paying them compensation and permanent solution.
Gambhir Dev Singh Charak assured the participants that all these issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for their solution. He also appealed to all the workers to play their positive role for the service of the most deserving people.
Prominent amongst those, who attended the meeting, included; Capt Harshvardan Sharma, Waryam Chand, Dr O P Saini, Madan Bhagat, Dr Gurdass, Dr Raghubir Singh, Prem Saini, Capt Gurbachan Singh, Sat Pal Dingra, Tarsem Singh, Rakesh Dogra, Soudagar Mal, Sat Pal Panch, Pritam Singh Charak, Puran Chand Bhagat and others.
