Explosives seized in Ramban

JAMMU, Nov 23: Troops of Rashtriya Rifles and Gool police today recovered a consignment of ammunition and explosives from village Sumber in Ramban district.
Reports said troops of 58 Rashtriya Rifles and Gool police launched a search operation at Sumber this morning after developing specific information about the consignment of ammunition and explosives.
They busted a hideout in the area and made the recoveries, which included one grenade, one binocular, two detonators, one LPG cylinder, one gas stove, one pair of shoes, one hand set base station, five kg glass pieces for making Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and three kg iron pieces.
Reports said the glass and iron pieces had been dumped by the militants in a hideout for fabricating the IEDs.
However, no arrests were made from the spot.
