JAMMU, Nov 23: Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) Teachers Forum (JKRTF) today held a protest demonstration here near Press Club in support of their long pending demands.
Thousands of ReT teachers under the aegis of JKRTF assembled today near Press Club Jammu and staged a strong protest demonstration. The protest was led by provincial president of the Forum, Arvind Sharma.
The protesting ReT teachers raised slogans against the Government for not fulfilling their genuine demands which include release of pending 6-8 months salary of SSA teachers, regularization of ReTs who have completed five years of service, release of pending arrears of converted ReTs for one year with effect from June 26, 2013 and implementation of transfer order of J&K High Court in favour.
Speaking on the occasion, Menu Lata, State convener and Jahangir Khan, State secretary, lambasted the State Government on its delaying tactics in redressing their problems and humiliating statement regarding screening test of ReTs. Other prominent leaders of the Forum who spoke on the occasion were Zakir Butt, Rashpal Sharma, Shiv Dev, Ishaq Rashid, Farooq Rooniyal, Meena Sharma and others.
