REASI, Sept 25: In yet another attack of leopard, two youth were badly mauled by the wild beast near their Dhok at Junta in Chasana, here today.
The victims, who were badly injured in the attack, have been referred to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu after first aid a Sub-District Hospital Mahore.
They were identified as Shabir Ahmad (30), son of Bashir Ahmad of Dhamni and Shabir Ahmad (20), son of Bahar Din of Dhamni.
Reports said that the duo was attacked in the broad day light around 12 noon.
This is the third incident of leopard attack in the area during the last few days. In the previous two incidents, the victims were mauled to death by the wild beast.
The presences of leopards in the area and their repeated attacks have triggered a panic wave in entire Mahore. Despite repeated requests of the locals, the Wildlife Department has done nothing to take preventive measures in this regard or catch the wild beast.
