Extend date of filing IT returns: BBIA

JAMMU, Sept  25:  The members of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has demanded extension in the date of filing of Income Tax returns as internet services have been snapped for the two days in the State.

In an emergency meeting of the BBIA held here today under the chairmanship of Lalit Mahajan, president of BBIA, the members discussed the difficulties being faced by the industrialists of Bari Brahmana complex due to suspension of internet service in J&K for two days, resulting disruption in the industrial activity.

The speakers during the meeting raised serious concern over the non-functioning of on-line system at Commercial Check Post Lakhanpur resulting non-clearance of  industrial goods with part load, disruption in the on-line billing system of the units and non-working of  other e-Commerce related matters. More over due to snapping of internet facility the members are unable to file IT returns and on line tenders of the State and Govt of India.

The BBIA members urged upon the Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed  and Industries Minister Chander Prakash Ganga to issue necessary orders for the restoration of internet services immediately and  also to take up the issue with the Union Finance Minister for extension in the date of filing IT returns in J&K.
