BHADERWAH, Sept 22: A seminar on Drug Addiction was organised by Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-E -Nabowat in the premises of Govt P G College Bhaderwah, here today.
SDM Bhaderwah Mohd Anwar Banday was the chief guest on the occasion, while Principal PG College Bhaderwah, Prof Syed Zaheer Abass Hashmi, SDPO Sajjad Khan, Mufti Anitullah and renowned poet Alyas Malik were also present on the occasion as special guests.
Principal Govt PG College Bhaderwah Mr Hashmi observed that Drug Addiction has very serious consequences for the society at large. He lauded the initiative of the organizers for holding this seminar with a view to making public aware about various aspects of Drug Addiction and how to deal with this problem.
SDPO Bhaderwah Sajjad Khan spoke about the serious consequences of Drug Addiction on the individual, family and the society and urged upon all the stakeholders to help in discouraging this menace by spreading awareness about Drug Addiction.
The Resource persons who delivered lectures on various aspects of the topic of the seminar included senior journalist Majid Malik,Shah Nawaz Matoo,Dr Javed Zargar,Yasir Khateeb and Farhad Vachkoo. Tafuz Khatmay Nabuwat distributed prizes and certificates among the winners on the occasion.
