Over 1600 pay obeisance at Budha Amarnath shrine

POONCH, Aug 21:  Over 1600 pilgrims today paid their obeisance at the holy shrine of Baba Budha Amarnath ji at Mandi in district Poonch on the third  day of the ongoing annual yatra.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Amit Gupta, Yatra officer Mandi, VK Bhalla and DySP (Ops) Sheezan Bhatt received the yatris coming from outside the State at Mandi today.
Narinder Suri, Yatra officer Poonch, said that the yatra is going on very smoothly and the pilgrims especially those coming from outside the district seem to be impressed with the hospitality extended to them by the people of Poonch cutting across religious lines.
Several religious organizations in the district have commended the arrangements put in place by the civil administration.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Nisar Ahmed Wani and Senior Superintendent of Police, J S Johar are closely supervising the conduct of yatra, facilities being provided and security arrangements.
