JAMMU, Aug 21: Displaying anticipation, sharp reflexes, motor ability and extraordinary skating skills, Gunjan Baba of Little Angel HSS Kathua and Akshay Mahajan of KV Lakhanpur emerged champions in speed skating in the Inter-School Tournaments in the disciplines of Speed Skating, Roller Skating and Roll Ball, which got underway at Delhi Public School Rajbagh, here.
The Tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kathua, Sunil Kumar.
The events were inaugurated by chairman Delhi Public School Rajbagh, Ram Avtaar Agarwal in the presence of Vice Principal, Rajesh Gandwal and ZPEO Marheen, Kailash Chander.
In boys section, Vishav Sharma of St. Xavier Convent School Hatli bagged silver, while Ramandeep of DPS Rajbagh and Kanav Sharma of Little Angel HSS Kathua claimed bronze medal.
In girls section, Mandeep Kour of Little Angel HSS Kathua claimed silver medal.
In Roll Ball Under-19 boys, Little Angel HSS Kathua defeated St. Xavier Convent School Hatli by 2-1.
The matches were officiated by Kamal Kumar, Subash Singh of DPS, Ajeet Raj, Naveen Singh, Harvinder Singh and Sanjay Sharma.
ZPEO Kailash Chander presented vote of thanks.
