DODA, May 29: A deputation of ITI trained plumbers, working on Adhoc basis in the PHE Department met with the Minister for PHE’ Irrigation and Flood Control here today and apprised him of their genuine demands.
They informed the Minister that there are 3800 ITI trained plumbers in the department working as daily wagers. They urged the Minister to intervene and formulate a policy for their regularization. The plumbers also demanded the implementation of cabinet decision dated 11 05 2006 and Government order no. 95PW(Hyd.) of 2008.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured timely redressal of their genuine grievances. The deputation comprised of Ishfaq Batt, Ishtaq Ahmed, Romesh Kumar, Subash Chander Khajuria, Ajeet Kumar, Imtiyaz Ahmed and others.
