JAMMU, Apr 21: BJP today reiterated that before taking any decision on return and rehabilitation the displaced Kashmiri Pandits will be taken into confidence and no decision in this regard will be thrust on the community.
This was stated by BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Koul while addressing a meeting of displaced Unit of BJP at Muthi today. He said the Party is committed to honourable and dignified rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in Valley.
Kaul said that BJP during its State Executive met at Katra few days back has made it clear that the identity of Kashmir was incomplete without Pandits and they will return Kashmir with honour and dignity in accordance to modalities fixed by them.
Kaul also assured the migrants that coalition Government is determined to mitigate the sufferings and genuine problems of the displaced people.
In his address newly nominated MLC Surinder Ambardar said that separatists are no body to dictate terms on Pandits return and it is none of their business. He said the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister is on the same page on return and it will be on the terms and conditions of displaced Pandits whoa re the aborigines of Kashmir.
Mr Ambardar said that he will take up the issue of relief enhancement with Union Government in Delhi and he will convene a meeting of relief Commissioner, zonal officers every month in every camp to mitigate the sufferings of the displaced people.
In his welcome address T N Bhat, president Displaced Unit BJP said that the present coalition will come up to the expectations of the displaced people from Valley who have suffered a lot for last 26 years.
He also raised various problems of the community and stressed on solving them on priority basis.
He said a 11 point programme in the form of a memorandum has already been submitted to the State and Central Governments. The function was also graced by Swami Kumar Ji.
A memorandum of demands was submitted to BJP leaders by T N Koul president TRT Muthi. The meeting was also attended by president ASKPC, R K Raina and BJP displaced unit general secretary Virender Kuchroo.
