UDHAMPUR, Jan 20: Fifty-nine brave officers and personnel of 137 Battalion CRPF were awarded with Director General Spl Disc for their excellent and commendable work during General Parliament Election -2014.
Special DG’s Discs were presented to the awardees by Commandant-137 Bn, CRPF Mukesh Kumar in a simple function organized at HQ /137 Bn at SRTC Camp Udhampur.
In his address, the Commandant congratulated officers and personnel who were awarded with Special DG’s Disc for the well deserved decoration. He said this is the historic movement for 137 Bn, CRPF that 59 officers and personnel have been able to get this award in one occasion.
He also hoped that the unit will do hard work and get more medals in future also.
Second-in-Command, Shyalu S Maharana, Deputy Commandants, Anil Shekhawat, Gursharan Singh, Assistant Commandant, Puneet Kumar Bhardwaj, GDMO, Dr Bhanu Pratap Singh, Inspector (Min), Bodh Raj Raina, other officers and jawans were also present in the occasion.
