Police organise anti-drug campaign in Pulwama

Srinagar, June 6: The Police today organised an awareness programme at Government Higher Secondary School Hawal in Pulwama under the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan to educate students about drug abuse, new criminal laws and women’s safety.
The programme was conducted by the Women Police Station Pulwama and attended by students and faculty members.
During the session, police officers highlighted the harmful impact of substance abuse on individuals, families and society and urged students to stay away from drugs and contribute to awareness efforts against the menace.
The participants were also informed about the newly introduced criminal laws, legal rights and provisions related to the safety and protection of women.
Police officers discussed various forms of crimes against women and explained the legal remedies available to victims.
Students were advised to remain vigilant and immediately report incidents relating to drug abuse, drug trafficking and other unlawful activities.
