RAMNAGAR, May 24: MLA Ramnagar, Dr Sunil Bhardwaj today organized a public darbar at remote Basantgarh.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, PRI representatives, youth, social activists, and party workers, while officers from all major departments remained present to address public grievances on the spot.
During the interaction, Dr Bhardwaj heard issues related to roads, electricity, water supply, healthcare, education, ration distribution, and other civic facilities. He directed the concerned officers to ensure prompt redressal of public complaints and emphasized that governance must reach every household, especially in remote and hilly areas.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Bhardwaj announced that PMGSY road projects worth nearly Rs 60 crore are being fast-tracked in the region. He also informed that Rs 3.80 crore has been sanctioned for the permanent restoration of six damaged roads in Block Basantgarh. Focusing on healthcare and connectivity, the MLA announced Rs 33 lakh for the construction of an approach road to Basantgarh Hospital and Rs 1.20 crore for the construction of the Chanjju Bridge. To promote tourism in the scenic region, he further announced Rs 85 lakh for the construction of a Guest House at Gandh Top.
