JAMMU, May 24: Police today claimed they have arrested two individuals with heroin from Jammu and Reasi districts in separate operations.
In Jammu, a team of Police Station Bishnah arrested one Rohit Kumar of Phillaur, District Jalandhar, Punjab, with 12 grams of heroin-like substance during naka checking at Charkan Kotli near Sapphire Roots and Wings School, Bishnah.
The accused has been booked under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah.
In a separate operation in Reasi district on May 23, a team of PCP Moori, Police Post Kakrayal, arrested one Ajay Sharma of Arli Hansali, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi with 5.35 grams of heroin during routine naka checking at Kakryal.
The accused has been accordingly booked in case FIR number 160/2026 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Katra.
Meanwhile, investigation in both the cases is underway.
