SRINAGAR, May 22: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) Chairman, Showkat Ali Beigh today expressed serious concern over the delay in the release of salaries of employees working in the CEO and ZEO offices under the Samagra Shiksha scheme.
In a press statement, the Chairman stated that the employees have not received their salaries for the months of March and April, while uncertainty continues regarding the release of salaries for May as well.
He said that the delay has caused considerable inconvenience to the employees and their families.
“Employees are facing difficulties in managing household expenses, healthcare needs and the education of their children. Delay in salaries for such a long period has added to their financial stress,” Beigh said.
With Eid-ul-Adha approaching, the JKTF leadership said that the timely release of salaries would provide much-needed relief to the employees and help them celebrate the festival with dignity and peace of mind.
The Chairman further appealed to, LG, CM, Education Minister and others to intervene and ensure that the pending salaries are released at the earliest.
