In a press statement, the Forum said the benefits were given prospectively, whereas these should have been implemented from 1996 when the 5th Pay Commission came into force, leaving many retirees deprived of their due.
The Forum said the Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu Bench, has already ruled in favour of pensioners in several cases and called for early implementation of the orders to provide relief to affected retirees, many of whom are elderly and facing health problems.
It also demanded extension of ECHS card benefits to those who retired before 2019, restoration of NGO Mess at Gulshan Ground, and establishment of a similar facility in Srinagar.
The Forum further sought enhancement of medical allowance to Rs 1000 in line with Central norms, 10 percent reservation for children of police personnel in education and jobs, and support for aged and militancy-affected retired personnel, including provision of attendants for their care.
