RAJOPURI, Mar 19: A Power Development Department (PDD) employee sustained injuries after receiving an electric shock while on duty in Mangota area of Thannamandi in Rajouri district today.
According to reports, Mohd Aslam, son of Ghulam Hussain, a daily-wage worker with the PDD, was injured during the course of his official duties while handling electrical work in the area. The incident occurred while he was actively engaged in maintaining the power infrastructure.
Soon after the incident, he was rushed to Government Medical College & Associated Hospital (GMC AH) Rajouri, where he is currently undergoing treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.
The incident has once again highlighted the risks faced by field staff, working in the Power Sector, especially daily wagers who often operate under challenging conditions.
