JAMMU, Dec 29: In order to commemorate the “Shahidi-Saptah” of Singh-Shishu, 34th Margdarshan-Day and the Martyrdom-Day of Pt Premnath Bhat, a national webinar organised by Panun Kashmir was held here today.
The activists joined from J&K, Delhi, Mumbai, Noida, Faridabad and Gurgaon etc.
Members paid rich tribute to the memory of all martyrs who sacrificed their life for the cause of “Desh and Dharma”.
They expressed their opinion about the fate and future of the struggle in exile.
On the front of survival, a number of steps have been undertaken by the community activists especially focussed on the issues of relief in Delhi and Jammu. Those of our community members who couldn’t get the benefit of monthly relief after the bifurcation of families can get it now with the issuance of the Government order in this respect on 8 December, 2025.
This was done after a long struggle at various levels and finally the struggle paid off.
The Kashmiri Pandit community through the Margdarshan Resolution of 1991 has made it amply clear that there are only two ways of the resettlement of the community in the valley of Kashmir.
One is the establishment of Homeland in the valley for the displaced community and the other is the balancing of population in the valley of Kashmir.
The operative part of the Margdarshan Resolution 1991 was implemented by the Government of India partially to a large extent on 5th August 2019.
The webinar also remembered the contributions of Adv P N Bhat in Kashmir.
Lastly, songs and hymns were recited in memory of the martyrdom of the Singh Sahiban in their valiant fight against the tyranny of Mughals and their cruel cohort. Among others who attended the webinar included Utpal Kaul, Virender Raina, Anupam Kaul, Upinder Saroop, Upinder Kaul, Kamal Bagati, Vijay Handoo, Rajinder Kaul, Pradeep Handoo, R K Dhar, K K Bujoo and Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo.
