VIJAYPUR, Dec 28: A meeting of the Jammu & Kashmir Private Schools Association (JKPSA), Samba Unit, was held at Vijaypur, under the leadership of Pardeepak Sambyal, President JKPSA Samba, and Vishal Singh Jamwal, General Secretary JKPSA Samba.
This meeting was chaired by the Gaurav Charak, Publicity Secretary (Central Body JKPSA) Jammu, who elaborated on the outcomes of the meeting with the Director School Education and assured the members that the genuine concerns of private schools are being effectively represented at the departmental level.
He also briefed the members that as per the input from the President of the association Ajay Gupta, Minister Sakina Ittoo has promised to conside the time duration of management committee with the period of recognition granted to a school. She along with Secretary School Education and Chairman JKBOSE has promised to extend the period of affiliation/ recognition for 10 years along with review of SROs for the withdrawal of undesirable rules and clauses, he said.
President JKPSA Samba highlighted the hurdles being faced by low-budget schools in obtaining NOCs from various departments. He advocated for simplified norms and stressed the need for a minimum recognition and affiliation period of ten years to provide stability to such institutions.
Several prominent members who shared their valuable views, included Tarsem Lal, Gurdyal Singh, Anil Kumar Khajuria, Pankaj Sambyal, Shabir Malik, Madan Lal, Bachan Lal, Sanjeev Gupta, Avdesh Kumar and Jagdish Raj.
The meeting concluded on a positive note with a vote of thanks presented by Vishal Singh Jamwal.
