KISHTWAR, Oct 1: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar Naresh Singh today chaired a crime and security review meeting at the District Police Office to assess the law and order situation and preparedness for the upcoming festivals.
The meeting was attended by senior police officers including Additional SP Kishtwar, SP Operations, DySPs, SDPOs, SHOs and other concerned officials.
Discussions focused on reviewing the implementation of previous directives, crime trends, ongoing investigations and security arrangements for Dusshera and other festivals.
The SSP stressed strict enforcement of the new criminal laws, increased beat patrolling, proper maintenance of beat books and stronger surveillance across sensitive areas.
Special focus was laid on anti-drug measures, curbing bovine smuggling and intensifying counter-terror operations in hotspot areas.
Officers were directed to remain vigilant, strengthen real-time intelligence gathering and maintain visible field presence to ensure peace and public safety during the festive season.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to maintain order and public confidence in the district.
