SAMBA, May 14: Samba police and Army have started joint search operation in Ratanpur and adjoining areas after two local women reported that they saw some suspects roaming in the area.
As per reports a local woman saw suspicious persons in Ratanpur village of Samba in the afternoon, after which the woman informed the police about it.
Santosh Kumari, a woman of Ratanpur village, saw two people filling water near the water tank in the courtyard of her house. When woman asked about their whereabouts they asked her for Lassi and went ahead. The woman became suspicious about this, so she informed the people of the locality, who in turn informed the police. After some time, another woman saw them filling water from a well in the adjoining village Sola, when the woman enquired about their identity, they did not give any proper reply and left towards the forest from there. The police reached the spot and started a search operation in the entire area. Along with the police, the soldiers of the Army and other paramilitary forces also reached the spot and started the search operation.
Sources said from the footprints, the number of suspects seems to be three. At the same time, the security forces have surrounded the entire area. The search operation has been stopped as soon in the night,.
