*LG to attend function

JAMMU, Dec 24: All Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Coordination Committee (AJKSCC) has decided to organize a religious function at Gurdwara Sant Mela Singh, Digianaa to commemorate the Martyrdom of Char Sahibzadas (Veer Balak Divas) of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj on Dec 26.
While addressing the media persons at Press Club here today, Ajit Singh Chairman of the Committee, flanked by Avtar Singh Khalsa chief advisor, Surat Singh Toofani- general secretary, Balwant Singh I/c Dharam Parchar Wing alongwith the other office bearers, said that All Jammu Kashmir Sikh Coordination Committee is going to organize a religious function to commemorate the Martyrdom of CHAAR SAHIBZADAS (Vir Bal Diwas), December 26, 2024, at Gurudwara Sant Mela Singh /Dastkari Ashram, Digiana, Jammu, from 6:00 pm. to 9:30 pm. which is also celebrated at the National level by the Government of India and by the Governments of all the States & UT,s through out the country.
Singh said Lt Governor of JKUT, Manoj Kumar Sinha has consented to especially attend this function in order to pay homage to the unmatched martyrdom of Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the great `Chaar Sahibzadas’ of Guru Govind Singh Ji, who laid their lives while fighting against the atrocities of the then ruling class to save the religion, culture, honour and dignity of the Indian sub-continent, for the sake of the humanity and the universal brotherhood.
In this function renowned Ragis, Katha Vachaks/ preachers, including Bhai Jasbir Singh Jamalpuri, Hazuri Ragi Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar, Bhai Daljit Singh, Baba Balwant Singh, Bhai Fateh Singh, Bhai Rattan Singh, Sant Kuldeep Singh and Bhai Ranjit Singh shall speak on the Gurbani and Sikh history to the Sangat.
Ajit Singh and other members appealed to the Sangat from all walks of life to attend this function in order to pay their homage and seek the blessings of Guru Sahib Ji.
