UBEA highlights demands

JAMMU, Apr 21: A meeting of Udyog Bhawan Employees Association (UBEA), Jammu, was held here today under the chairmanship of its chairman, Ravi Singh Bahu and president, Surjeet Singh, to highlight their demands.
The speakers criticized the State Government for its silence on the already agreed demands of the employees and appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene in the matter, so that the just and genuine demands of the State employees are fulfilled.
The demands included removal of pay anomalies of clerical and other cadres, implementation of 6th Pay Commission in favour of remaining PSU organisations by providing additional budgetary support to all PSUs, release of 10% DA due from Jan 2014 in favour of Government and PSU employees, regularization of all adhoc, contractual and daily rated workers and enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years.
The speakers also condemned the police lathicharge on Government employees at Kishtwar and requested the Chief Election Commissioner to take action against accused police officials.
