JAMMU, Apr 3: Senior Congress leader and Minister for Housing, Culture and Sports Raman Bhalla today said that creation of over six hundred new administrative units in Jammu and Kashmir State by Coalition Government was a historic decision and it was aimed at making people have easy access to the Government.
The move, was also initiated to bring Government at the doorsteps of people of far flung areas who were craving for setting up of new districts and Tehsils besides blocks.
Addressing largely attended public meetings in favour of Madan Lal Sharma, party candidate from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency at Nagrota, Nandni, Suketar, Jhajjar Kotli, Dansal, Badsu, Kapota and Kanyala, Mr Bhalla said that it was because of good governance and accountability that State witnessed massive development during past five years and people were benefitted a lot.
He said Right To Information (RTI) Act, Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) and setting up of anti-graft institution like State Accountability Commission (SAC), State Information Commission (SIC), State Vigilance Commission (SVC) were all aimed at giving people a free access to the information and make administration accountable.

Mr Bhalla added through Central schemes like PMGSY, NRHM and Rural Electrification, projects like Jawahar Lal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), ERA, PMGSY, SSA, RAMSA also changed the profiles of cities providing people world class amenities.
Mr Bhalla informed that because of liberal funding by the Congress led UPA Government at the Centre, Coalition Government could develop Technical Educational institutions and upgrade existing Medical and Dental colleges. Funds for new hospital buildings and Super Speciality Hospital are also the contribution of UPA toward J&K States progress.
