JAMMU, Nov 3: Working president of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Raman Bhalla today said that the Party will take its fight against price rise and unemployment to streets and expose the misrule of BJP led Central Government.
Bhalla said this while chairing a meeting of District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Urban at PCC HQ, Shahidi Chowk, Jammu. It was decided in the meeting that various agitational programs will be organized by Congress in Jammu Urban District, as part of its campaign against price rise, unemployment and other exploitative and harmful policies of the Government.
During the meeting, Bhalla discussed some major points pertaining to some of the upcoming programs of the Congress party in the district. He directed the Ward presidents and Block heads to depute booth wise members in their respective areas for the ongoing enrollment of new voters. He discussed the special revision of electoral rolls in all parliamentary and assembly constituencies of J&K which is currently happening and its implementation.
Raman Bhalla, in his hard hitting speech, highlighted the failures of the BJP Government and said that unlike other states in India, J&K now lacks the protection and autonomy that can be provided by a state government. Its exclusive rights were ruthlessly taken away with its statehood. He also remarked that BJP’s policies in J&K are bound to create more unemployment shortly as their effects are coming out, one by one.
He said that since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, apart from an economic slowdown, J&K has witnessed the loss of dignity and identity. “Dogra culture, too, has been harmed and even, ruined by the Government. However, the common man is now becoming relatively more aware of these injustices done in the name of progressive laws and stands firmly against the BJP,” he added.
Prominent among those attended the meeting include Thakur Manmohan Singh, Rajnish Sharma, Pawan Raina, Vijay Sharma Babbi,  Pranav Shagotra and Dwarka Choudhary.
