POONCH, Nov 3: District Police Poonch today foiled attempts of bovine smuggling in Surankote area and rescued 36 bovines besides arresting five smugglers.
On the direction of SSP Poonch, Rohit Baskotra, teams headed by DySP Surankote, SHO P/S Surankote and I/C PP Behramgalla established nakas at Buffliaz, Panar and Behramgalla and adjoining areas Surankote. During naka checking, 5 bovine smugglers were apprehended and one vehicle bearing Registration Number JK01BC- 0948 was seized besides rescue of 36 bovines.
In this connection, case FIR Number 349, 352, 357, 358 & 360 of 2022, under section 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act have been registered at Police Station Surankote.
