6 hurt in road mishap

KATHUA, Aug 20: Six pedestrians were injured two of them seriously after a passenger bus hit them at Sheetal Nagar 25 kilometres ahead of Basholi this morning.
According to police the bus bearing number JK02 B 0757 was on its way from Basholi to Bani early this morning. On reaching,  Shetal Nagar driver stopped the bus and got down from it putting the vehicle in neutral gear with the result the bus moved backwards injuring six pedestrians.
Four pedestrians who had received minor injuries were discharged after giving first aid while two seriously injured persons Mohammed Sharief and Showkat Ali were referred to GMC Jammu for treatment. Their condition is stated to be critical. The driver of the bus is absconding and the Basholi police has registered a case against him.
