KATHUA, Aug 12: Rajbagh police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered 80 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, police party from Rajbagh Police Station intercepted a person moving suspiciously.
During frisking, police recovered 80 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Prem lal, son of Shiv Ram of Sunjwan.
A case under FIR number 165/13 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Rajbagh Police Station and investigation started.
Police party led by Head Constable Baljit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Naresh Sharma and SP Mohan Lal.
