BSP leaders tour Marh, hold workers meet

JAMMU, Aug 7: A team of BSP leaders comprising State president, Tulsi Dass Langeh, vice-president, RL Chargotra, treasurer, Rattan Kumar Bhagat and coordinator, Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha, BD Thappa, conducted tour of Marh Vidhan Sabha, met prominent persons of various cross sections of the society and held a workers’ meet at Sangrampur, which was presided over by Bansi Lal, president, Vidhan Sabha, Marh.
The local populace apprised the BSP leaders that the two MLAs and one MLC, who are Ministers in Omar’s Cabinet are not spending their CDF in Marh area according to the public requirements but to please some selected people. Moreover, the NREGA schemes are not being utilized properly and thus the public money is going waste, they alleged.
While addressing the workers, the BSP leaders, asked the workers to keep close vigil on the development works in the area.
During the meeting, a resolution to support the genuine demand of Jat community for granting OBC status, was passed unanimously. The BSP leaders informed the Jat community that they are organizing an OBC Sammelan on September 8, 2013 in the premises of Guru Nabha Dass Bhawan, Dogra Hall, Jammu, and appealed them to make the programme a success by participating in large number.
