JAMMU, Aug 7: The garbage dump in Basant Nagar, Janipur has created havoc for the residents, whereas the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) is unmoved over the issue.
This was highlighted by the residents of Basant Nagar, Janipur during their visit to the Excelsior Office today.
The residents flayed the Jammu Municipal Corpo-ration (JMC) for their failure in cleaning the dump of garbage. The garbage dump in the plot near House Number 11 has put the life of the people at the risk of health hazard, he added.
Due to rains, foul smell emits out from the garbage dump, thereby making the life of the people miserable, they added.
We informed Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) about the aforesaid problem many times, but nothing has been done till date, the residents alleged.
The residents asked JMC to provide dustbins, otherwise they will come on road and hold massive protest against it.
