JAMMU : A new batch of 172 pilgrims today left for the holy Shri Amarnath cave shrine in South Kashmir and 309 pilgrims left for Shri Buddha Amarnath Cave Shrine in district Poonch from Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar base camp in this winter capital of the state.
A batch comprising 126 males, 12 females and 33 sadhus this morning left for the Amarnath cave shrine from here in a convoy of six vehicles including private and State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) buses and a truck,”
official spokesman here said.
Meanwhile, 309 pilgrims comprising 278 male, 30 females and a child left for Shri Buddha Amarnath Cave Shrine situated in Poonch district of the state in a convoy of nine buses. (AGENCIES)
