JAMMU, Nov 10: University of Jammu Special Purpose Vehicle Foundation (UOJSPVF) has started the start-up series.
Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director & CEO, UOJSPVF delivered welcome address and stated that this series is aimed at providing pathways to the participants to start their own business.
He elaborated the basic aim of such programmes and discussed the vision of UOJSPVF.
Prof. Manhas gave examples of successful entrepreneurs who had started with very small and now are successfully running their businesses not only at national but at global level.
Chartered Accountant (CA), Sahil Malhotra and CA Akhileshwar Salathia were resource persons on the occasion.
They introduced the concept of start-ups and elaborated on how it can provide employment opportunities to masses.
During session, the resource persons explained how to set a career vision, how to discover what matters in career and defined factors of a successful entrepreneur. The participants were from various colleges and universities, including Udhampur campus of University of Jammu (JU), main campus, JU, LPU, GCW Parade and Punjab University.
Mamta Sharma, Lecturer in Commerce, Udhampur Campus of JU and Vatsalya Jyoti coordinated the session.
