JAMMU, Mar 21: The two-month course for Secretarial staff of University of Jammu, organised by UGC – Human Resource Development Centre and sponsored by Rashtriya Uchhatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), concluded here today.
During the training course, Secretarial cadre employees of Jammu University were trained, sensitized towards Service, Conduct, University Calendar and Financial rules including GFR 17, GEM, etc.
In the valedictory function, JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar advised that such training should now be a regular feature and all employees including officers should undergo such training to keep them abreast of the latest that would lead to progress of the University amidst fast-changing administrative and financial codes. He complimented HRDC and its staff in general and Course Coordinator, Dr Amit Sharma, in particular for their extraordinary contribution to the organisation of this course.
Prof Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar JU, in his address, expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the course and appreciated the efforts of the organisers.
Prof Rahul Gupta, Director HRDC, highlighted importance of the course vis a vis its practical usages in the day-to-day working of the secretarial staff of JU.
Earlier, a comprehensive report on 60 days of training was presented by Dr Amit Sharma, the Course Coordinator. As part of the feedback, Nagar Mal, Bodh Raj and Sooraj expressed their satisfaction in conduct of the Course.
Ranjeet Kalra, Teaching faculty HRDC, presented the Training Manual: Financial and Service Rules to the Vice-Chancellor and the participants which were the outcome of the two-month training programme. He ended the proceedings with a formal vote of thanks.
Proceedings of the valedictory function were conducted by Dr Neha Sharma and those present on the occasion included Prof Pawan Kumar, HoD Statistics, Dr Parmil Kumar, Dr V K Shivgotra, Dr Vinay Thusoo, JU Media Head, Dr Rakesh Chib (President NTEU), Gurmmet Singh (Vice-President NTEU), Amit Gupta (Gen Secretary-NTEU) and Pawan Singh (former President NTEU).
