JAMMU, May 14: Terming the inquiry conducted by General Railway Police (GRP) as an eye-wash, the parents of Akshay Verma urged the Chief Minister to look into the matter and constitute Special Investigate Team (SIT), to punish the culprits behind the murder of their son.
Addressing a press conference, Subash Verma, father of Akshay Verma alleged that they have no faith in the inquiry conducted by GRP, as till date it has maintained silence over the Akshay’s death, who was allegedly murdered by the son of a famous jeweler of the State.
“District Magistrate has already directed the J&K Police to constitute SIT to investigate the matter and register an FIR in this regards, but the police has failed to constitute the same”, Verma added.
He said that Special Investigation Team (SIT) should be constituted to conduct a transparent enquiry.
