UDHAMPUR, May 14: MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia (NPP) today inaugurated newly up-graded Govt High School, Narore today.
Besides Headmaster and other school staff, the Panchayat members and villagers in large number were also present on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, the MLA said that people were demanding up-gradation of this Middle School to the High School level in Udhampur zone since long. He said the demand of the public was genuine because the boys and girls of the area had to travel about 20 kms to reach school every day and return home.
Mr Mankotia said with the up-gradation of this school, the student of village Narore and adjoining areas will get high-school education at their door steps now.
The MLA also announced new building which will be constructed with the cost of Rs 40 lakh. He said that PMGSY road Narore will be extended towards Kainth Gali shortly and new Health sub-centre will also be opened at this village. He also issued instructions to the Executive Engineer, PMGSY.
