JAMMU, Jan 13: All India Confederation of SC ST OBC Organizations sent a reminder to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to address the issue of backlog clearance.
RK Kalsotra, J&K president of the Confederation, highlighted that a memorandum was submitted to LG on December 30, 2020 regarding the issues over discrepancies in the appointment to various jobs by the Government departments and the backlog created in J&K.
He said the issue was not addressed by LG and thus, the confederation sent a reminder to LG today. Kalsotra said that there are certain officers in the various departments who do not clear the backlogs and create waitlists for years. “Currently, there is a backlog of 1.04 lakh in J&K which should be cleared as soon as possible but nothing of any sort in this direction is being done,” he regretted.
