After Sarabjit’s killing by fellow inmates inside a Pakistani jail, the Government of India should now take the case of other Indian prisoners languishing in Pak jails with Pakistan Government forcefully. There are apprehensions that in case Government does not take it seriously, the other prisoners may meet the same fate as did Chamel Singh earlier and now Sarabjit Singh.
Besides, it is said that the people who work for India in other countries are abandoned by the Government once they return from spending their sentences in jails in case they are caught or their families are not take care of by the Government.
Sarabjit Singh sister Dalbir Kaur, it is reported, has said that she would take the cause of Indian prisoners in Pak jails. If she can fight for them, why not the Government.
The Government should ensure that Indian nationals wherever they are be taken care of whenever they land in trouble.
