JAMMU, Sept 14: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta today visited various Wards of the City along with the concerned JMC Councillors and listened to grievances of the locals apart from starting various development works.
The Mayor started renovation work of a lane in Sarwal area at an estimated cost of Rs. 7.80 lakh.
Dinesh Gupta, Councillor of the area; Vijay Gupta, Assistant Executive Engineer; B.K Raina, Junior Engineer of Engineering Division-II; Concerned Contractor; Munish Khajuria, District BJP President; Sangeeta Gupta, District BJP Secretary; Karan Sharma, Ward Pardhan; Sangeeta Verma and other prominent locals were also present on the occasion.
After this the Mayor visited Ward-50, Channi Himmat area and started renovation work of a Park in Sector -1 at an estimated cost of Rs. 25 lakh.
Neena Gupta, Councilor Ward-50; Raj Kumar, Councillor Ward-51 prominent locals and others were also present on the occasion.
The Mayor appealed to the locals to cooperate JMC in making the park neat, clean and green.
Lastly the Mayor along with Vikram Randhawa, Ex-MLC and Tirath Kour Raina, Councillor Ward-58 started renovation work of park at Akali Kour Singh Nagar in Digiana at an estimate cost of Rs. 25 lakh.
S. Paramjeet Singh Raina, Ex-Councillor; S. Parbjot Singh, Junior Engineer and his field staff and other prominent locals of the Ward were also present on the occasion.
The Mayor directed the concerned Engineering Wing that all the necessary works of public importance should be done using best quality material.
He informed that development works like restoration of traditional water bodies, commissioning of open GYMs in all Municipal Wards, installation of fountains etc are in the pipeline.
