JAMMU, Sept 16: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Dr SD Singh today ordered promotion of 942 constables to the rank of Selection Grade Constables (SgCts).
This is the fifth DPC under the chairmanship of Zonal IGP Jammu, wherein 1716 officials in different ranks have already been promoted.
SO to IGP Jammu Zone, Jammu Rajesh Sharma, SSP PCR, Jammu, Joginder Singh, Deputy Director Prosecution, TADA Court Jammu Subhash Sharma and Inspector (Personnel) ZPHQ, Jammu Deshbir Singh were the members on the board constituted under the chairmanship of Dr Singh.
IGP in his message to the promoted officials expressed hope that the promotion will act as a morale booster enabling the officials to feel proud and to equip themselves professionally thereby bringing laurels to the J&K Police.
