KISHTWAR, Aug 21: Forest Department seized 9 quintals of banned medicinal herb ‘nagchatri’ from forest division Marwah.
According to Deputy Director, FPF, Kishtwar, Khalid Amin Mehta, on specific inputs, the sleuths of FPF conducted raid in Anyar village near Reanai nallah in Forest Division Marwah.
During the raid, the sleuths’ recovered 9 quintals of banned medicinal herb ‘nagchatri’ abandoned in the fields and seized it, he said.
“We are questioning the people and a case in this regard has also been registered”, Mr Mehta added.
He stated that this is a major achievement of the Forest Department and claimed that no one would be spared, who will be found indulged in this illegal activities.
