JAMMU, May 31: Police today rescued 84 bovine animals and arrested six persons in two different incidents.
Police spokesman said that, police parties from Nagrota and Jhajjar Kotli police stations intercepted seven trucks bearing registration No. JK03-0880, JK02AF-1487, JK02AS 8572, JK14C-0887, JK02AD-3325, JK14A-6265 and JK14-0421.
During checking, police recovered 84 bovine animals and arrested six persons, who were identified as Mohd Amin of Qazigund, Mohd Firdous of Thathri, Reyaz Ahmed of Udhampur, Majid Ahmed of Jagti, Mohd Aslam and Mohd Akram of Kalakote.
Cases under Sections 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act have been registered at Nagrota and Jhajjar Kotli police stations and investigation started.
Police parties led by SHO OP Chib and SHO Parvez Sajjad made the arrest under the direct supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary.
