SAMBA, Aug 26: Animal Husbandry Department handed over 80 micro poultry units to farmers at Sangwali Village, Ghagwal under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana from CAPEX budget in a function organized here today.
The programme was presided over by MLA Hiranagar, Kuldeep Raj and attended by District Development Commissioner, Sheetal Nanda, SDM Ghagwal Narayan Dutt Sharma, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer RP Bharti, Tehsildar Ghagwal Kanchan Bala and local community members.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Hiranagar called upon farmers to take technical and financial help from Government departments under various schemes. He enlisted various projects being undertaken by the Government for farmers and asked them to take technical and financial help provided by the departments.
DDC informed that district administration along with Animal Husbandry Department will provide complete support to beneficiaries and urged beneficiaries to make dedicated efforts as poultry farming is financially viable and provide vital financial assistance to them.
Earlier, an awareness programme was also organized by farmers in which Subject Matter Experts Dr Vikas, Dr Harpreet and Dr Rajneesh guided them regarding key aspects of poultry farming.
