SRINAGAR: Eight guests from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) arrived here while five Kashmiris crossed over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) to meet their relatives separated in 1947 due to partition.
As many as seven returnees crossed sides at Kaman Post, the last Indian military post on this side of the LoC in Uri sector in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources said.
They said eight PoK guests, including five women, arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Amen Setu, peace bridge on foot. Three Kashmiris, two of them women, who had gone to POK also returned to their homes in the Karvan-e-Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of PoK.
They also said five Kashmiris residents, including two women crossed to other side of LoC to meet their relatives, separated in 1947. Four PoK residents who had arrived here in previous bus also returned to their homes after completing stay in Kashmir. They included two women and a child. (AGENCIES)
