8 persons injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Sept 6: Police today said eight persons were injured in different road accidents across valley.
A police spokesman said that an Alto car bearing registration number JK03A-5400 driven by Hilal Ahmad Mir hit and injure a pedestrian namely Subiya Akhter at Ikhrajpora in Rajbagh area of summer capital. “The injured was shifted to Bone & Joint Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said that a Sumo bearing registration number JK09-8548 driven by Sajad Ahmad met with an accident at Sheikh Mohalla Warnow in Sogam area of Kupwara district, resulting in injuries to one passenger namely Ishfaq Ahmad. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Kupwara for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The police spokesman said that an Auto Load Carrier bearing registration number JK16-1841 hit and injure one cyclist namely Murtaza Raina at Beehama in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment where from he was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The police spokesman said that an Indica vehicle bearing registration number JK05-3744 driven by Irfan Hussain Malik hit a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01B-7849 driven by Muzaffar Ahmad Teploo near Lalad in Tarzoo area of Sopore in Baramulla district, resulting in injuries to both the drivers and passengers namely Fayaz Ahmad Teploo and Rubeena.
“All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Sopore for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said. The spokesman said an unknown vehicle hit and injured a minor girl namely Shazia daughter of Mohammad Rafiq Khan in Pahalgam area of Anantnag district. “The injured girl was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment where from she was shifted to SKIMS Soura Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
