8 injured as JCB machine rolls down

RAMBAN, July 26: Eight persons were injured, when a JCB machine rolled down into gorge near Karol area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, here today.
As per police sources, a JCB machine was clearing the debris near Karol area, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge, resulting into injuries to 8 persons
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of locals, rescued the injured persons.
All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Ramban, from where two were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Mohammad Rafiq, son of Fattu Gujjar, Mir Hussain, son of Abdul Kareem, Mohammad Qasim, son of Maser Din and Mohammad Rafiq, son of Abdullah, all resident of Pogal Bingara, Sandeep Singh, son of Rashpal Singh of Punjab, Abdul Sapoor, son of Nazir Ahmed of Doda, Mohammad Abass and Irshad, sons of Mirza and Irshad, resident of Pogal.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
