JAMMU, June 1: Eight passengers of a mini-bus were injured today when it was hit by a 407 vehicle of Seema Shastra Bal (SSB) at Vikram Chowk.
According to a police official, the mishap occurred this evening and in the mishap, eight passengers of the mini-bus received minor injuries. He said the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
“The injured passengers were identified as Ritu (25) wife of Pawan Kumar, Anju Devi (48) wife of Naresh Kumar, Madhu (48) wife of Jagdish Raj, Shashi (45) wife of Balwant Raj, Pama (27) wife of Joney Kumar, Purvi (17) daughter of Lalit Thapa, Nanu (18) daughter of Mohinder Rana and Shazia (25) daughter of Mohd Iqbal, all residents of Bahu Fort”, he added.
The official said that a case in this connection was registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and both the vehicles involved in the mishap seized while further investigation in the case was taken up.
