8 die of COVID in Valley, J&K toll 702

Srinagar, Aug 30: Eight persons died due to COVID-19 in Kashmir today, taking the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 702 and seven CRPF men and three pregnant women besides a doctor were among 432 Novel Coronavirus cases in the Valley taking the overall tally in J&K past 37000.
Those who died include a 70-year-old man from Batamaloo Srinagar, a 40-year-old man from Gousia Colony Bemina, a 45-year-old woman from Tangmarg, a 62-year-old woman from Panzoo Tral, a 65-year-old woman from Mazhama Magam in Budgam and a 70-year-old man from Nadihal Bandipora.
A 70-year-old man from Batamaloo Srinagar was admitted to SMHS hospital and he died today.
A 45-year-old woman from Tangmarg who was admitted to SMHS hospital in Srinagar on August 27 died today.
A 62-year-old woman from Panzoo Tral was admitted to SMHS hospital on August 21 and she died today.
A 65-year-old woman from Mazhama Magam in Budgam, who was admitted with diabetes, hypertension and bilateral pneumonia on 24th August died today.
A 40-year-old man from Gousia Colony Bemina who was admitted to SMHS hospital on August 26 as a case of bilateral community acquired pneumonia died this afternoon.
A 70-year-old woman from Nadihal Bandipora died at SKIMS Bemina, 13 days after she was admitted to the hospital.
A 56-year-old man from Shaikh Zoo Wakoora in Ganderbal who was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia and hypertension died at a hospital in Srinagar today.
With these deaths, 698 persons died due to COVID including and 634 from the Valley.
Those who tested positive include 161 from Srinagar, Baramulla 26, Pulwama 25, Budgam 52, Anantnag 38, Bandipora 37, Kupwara 30, Kulgam 11, Shopian 8 and Ganderbal 44.
Srinagar has 9186 positive cases with 1589 active, 7378 recovered, 219 deaths; Baramulla has 2810 positive cases with 506 active, 2204 recovered, 100 deaths; Pulwama reported 2590 positive cases with 465 active positive cases, 2077 recovered, 48 deaths; Kulgam has 1918 positive cases with 210 active, 1673 recoveries, 35 deaths; Shopian has 1698 positive cases with 120 active, 1550 recovered, 28 deaths; Anantnag district has 2314 positive cases with 510 active, 1755 recovered, 49 deaths; Budgam has 2479 positive cases with 690 active and 1729 recovered, 60 deaths; Kupwara has 2075 positive cases with 632 active positive, 1397 recovered, 46 deaths; Bandipora has 2142 positive cases with 734 active, 1383 recovered, 25 deaths and Ganderbal has 1415 positive cases with 443 active cases, 951 recoveries and 21 deaths.
Meanwhile, 382 more COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged from various hospitals in Kashmir.
