JAMMU, May 18: The Transport Department today ordered the transfers and postings of 8 Assistant Regional Transport Officers (ARTOs) and incharge ARTOs in the interest of the administration.
According to an order, the reshuffle was carried out following the placement of services of three Junior Scale JKAS officers at the disposal of the department.
The order said Punika Pandita, ATC in the office of Transport Commissioner J&K, has been transferred and posted as ARTO (BoI), Jammu. She will also look-after the charge of ATC in the office of Transport Commissioner J&K in addition to her duties.
Additionally, Ashiq Rafiq Maliq, under orders of adjustment, has been posted as ARTO Rajouri and Mohammad Iqbal Daing, under orders of adjustment, has been posted as ARTO Anantnag.
The order further said that Nawaz Sharief, under orders of adjustment, has been posted as ARTO Poonch and Anis Ahmad Wani, ARTO Shopian, has been transferred and posted as ARTO Ganderbal.
Arif Parvaiz Shah, incharge ARTO Ganderbal, has been transferred and posted as incharge ARTO Shopian and Rajesh Gupta, incharge ARTO Rajouri, has been posted as incharge ARTO (Hq), Jammu, the order said.
Meanwhile, Jugal Kishore Sharma, incharge ARTO (BoI), Jammu has been attached to the office of Transport Commissioner, J&K, till further orders.
