JAMMU, May 6: 73rd Foundation Day of Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital, Jammu, was celebrated today with garlanding the bust of Maharaja Gulab Singh in the hospital premises and awarding best employees and workers of the establishment.
Dr Ghanishyam Dev Gupta, Officiating Principal of Government Medical College Jammu, was the chief guest on the occasion while Administrator Associated Hospitals Reva Gupta was the guest of honour.
Total 44 employees and workers from each category of the staff of SMGS Hospital Jammu were awarded for their best services during the year 2012-13. They included Pardeep Sharma, Bhagat Ram, Pawanjeet Kour, Sushila, Shashiprabha Slathia, Nirmal Sethi, Dwarka Nath, Pawan Singh and others. Dr Ghanishyam presented them awards and hoped that they would continue to render their services to the hospital with dedication for improvement of patient care service in future also.
Others present on the occasion included Dr Sunil Kotwal (HoD ENT), Dr Vipin Gupta (HoD Dermatology), Dr Rekha Harish (HoD Paediatrics), Dr Indu Koul from the Department of Obst and Gynecology, faculty members of Medical College, SMGS Hospital, Medical Superintendent of SMGS Hospital Dr Dara Singh and Casualty Medical Officer SMGS Hospital.
